Dark Web Monitoring monitors your email address for dark web exposure. It’s handy if you want to know whether your email and password were compromised on different websites.
In our test of Symlex VPN, we discovered that our credentials were safe – thank God!
Protocols & Encryption
Symlex VPN doesn’t tell much about its protocols. It offers Protocol 1 and Protocol 2 as the two options to pick from.
A good thing to mention is that we discovered no leaks in our Symlex VPN review. After trying Protocols 1 and 2, none displayed IP leaks that would compromise our privacy.
Split Tunneling
Split Tunneling lets you exclude certain apps from using a VPN tunnel. You can also use it to route only some apps through the tunnel instead.
Its Windows app doesn’t have it but we found it handy on mobile versions of the Symlex VPN app.

You can install it on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Firestick TV. We dislike that simultaneous connections are capped at 5, which is below the competition that usually aims for 10 or so.
Does Symlex VPN Keep Logs?
No, it doesn’t. It maintains a crystal-clear no-logging policy, which ensures no data is being stored on its servers.
Symlex VPN won’t keep tabs on your browsing history, IP address, traffic destination, and geo-location. An interesting fact is that the company is from Bangladesh.
This means it’s far away from the 5/9/14 Eyes jurisdictions whose privacy laws are questionable.

Streaming & Torrenting With Symlex VPN
Streaming isn’t the Symlex VPN’s strength. After testing its dedicated streaming servers in the US, we could unblock the American Netflix library.
We also tested BBC iPlayer using one of its many UK servers only to see that it works but with heavy buffering beforehand, which happened in both cases.
The silver lining is that torrenting works well. You can connect to any server and download torrent files limitlessly thanks to uncapped bandwidth. Just bear in mind you won’t find advanced P2P functions like Port Forwarding or SOCKS5.
Is Symlex VPN Working in China?
Yes, it’s working in China according to the VPN’s claims. After testing it with our VPN Detection Tool, Symlex VPN wasn’t detected.
Also, a few of our testers in China reported that Symlex VPN worked well with both of its protocols.
